My husband, Jerry, and I never had kids, so we finally decided to adopt. We got our daughter when she was 13 and our adoption was finalized on her 14th birthday. She'll be 15 soon, so, as you can imagine, our lives have been amazingly hectic. Life is good!
From Lynda:

I had a wonderful time at the reunion - it was truly nice to see everyone and hear how everyone's lives have gone.  Just made me miss those of you who didn't come even more - hope to see more grads next time.

I recently started a new position as the Engineering Manager of Consulting Services for a petroleum technology company here in Houston. My 24 year career has taken me all over the world for some very interesting experiences. I have lived in Katy for 9.5 years where my daughter is currently a Sr (and Varsity Cheerleader) at Katy HS. My son attends Blinn and is transferring to A&M in the Spring. I love to shoot sporting clays and skeet and I rarely miss a Katy HS football game. I also teach youth Sunday school. Last and certainly not least, my wife has stayed at home taking care of us all providing the love and devotion that has made our lives better.

If you're planning on attending the Reunion, how many miles will you be travelling?:  15 or so
How long have you been married?:  18 years
How many children do you have?:  1
Do you have any grandchildren? If so, how many and their ages?:
No Grandkids. Our son is 11 years old and I've only been mistaken for his Grandmother once. It was last year by a third grader, so I'm not counting it. Just for good measure, I got my gray hair colored the next day.
What have you been doing lately? What's your profession? Kids in college? Brag about yourself:
I graduated from South West Texas, now Texas State University, in 1983. I worked as a Trainer in the hotel industry for ten years, then changed to another branch of the travel industry for ten more years being home-based but still traveling. I was able to stay in some amazing places, meet some wonderful people. When I had our son I cut back on work and started a whole new adventure... motherhood! I became employed again about a 1.5 years ago, as an Executive Assistant, and am having a blast! It's hard to believe it's been 30 years... This is the only picture I have right now - I'm in the middle.

I came to Sweden to be with Maria Holmbom, whom you may remember from SWHS class of 76... We married in 1990 and have two sons, Petter (15) and Axel (13). I coach the local kids' baseball team, make crazy inventions, play music on all sorts of junk and pick mushrooms in the fall... My hearing loss forced a change of professions from musician to technician, but my heart is still in the music world. I spent 20 years as a french hornist in everything from American and European symphony orchestras to Broadway shows, film and studio music , and International music festivals as a member of a band called "Messing Around", playing our own compositionns and arrangements of Swedish Folk music/jazz We performed at the first Texas Viking Festival in Gerogetown in 1990! Ya shoulda been there :-) Anyone else out there play a Didgeridoo? I really am looking forward to this reunion, it is the first chance I have had to meet many of you since I moved to Europe in 1984!

What have you been doing lately? What's your profession? Kids in college? Brag about yourself:
I spent 12.5 years in the Air Force. I was an aircraft mechanic and an aircraft maintenance instructor. I got out in 1990 to pursue my degree. I attended Midwestern State University here in Wichita Falls and earned my BBA in business with a major in accounting. After working as an accountant for several years and being quite bored I applied to go back out to Sheppard AFB as a civilian and was hired on to teach the same course I taught when I left the Air Force. I am now a supervisor of that course and am pursuing my masters degree in education. My wife and I are active in the community and volunteer as much as we can. We are avid water gardeners and love the outdoors. Sadly, my dad passed away four yeas ago. He was a professional fiddler (after retiring as an accountant) and I asked my mom for his fiddle. I am now taking lessons and playing in jambories every month. I'm loving it. I'll look for some photos and submit them when I can. By-the-way, I'm still into hot rods and am customizing a 1953 Ford F100 pickup. Zoom, zoom!!
From Doug:
I'm sorry to say I won't be able to attend this year's reunion, however I'd love to hear from as many of you as would want to relive old times and catch up on current happenings.

Been in law office management for over 20 years in Dallas metroplex. Our son is in the U.S. Army; Third Armored Cavalry Division-Tactical Operations, Ft. Hood (deploying early November 2007; please pray for all our troops!!); our daughter is a Junior in high school; she is my sports buff (volleyball, soccer) and keeps us busy with all her activities and sports travel. We also enjoy RV camping and numerous family gatherings with my parents and all my siblings and their families.
From Connie:
I have been to every reunion and have always enjoyed them; it's been thirty years but sometimes, it seems like yesterday!  They were good times and an important part of our lives, so it's fun to relive those days, if only for a night!  Senior year especially, what a blast!  I hope some of you that have never been to a reunion or have not come lately, will show up.  It would be great to see you!
