What have you been doing lately? What's your profession? Kids in college? Brag about yourself: Currently I'm working for a embedded computer manufacturer as a Inside Sales Engineer. I'm also the assistant basketball coach at Lutheran HS. My wife and I are heavily involved in our church, our kids and grandkids. To say the least, it's a busy life.
The most profound thing in my life is being a 47 year old grandparent. My wife and I don't feel, look or act like grandparents. But we are. I'm here to tell you that being a young grandparent is a glorious thing. It's like having the best of all worlds. I'm still madly and passionatly in Love with my wife. Physically active with both my 16 and 10 year old sons. And yet, I have four little wonderful human beings calling me 'granddad'. I love it.
Although life has been far from perfect, I've enjoyed the ride so far. I'm looking forward to seeing and sharing with the class of 77.

Brag about yourself: I was an accountant in the oil industry for many years, then went back to school to earn my teacher's certification and MLS. I've been a middle school librarian for 11 years and love it! My daughters turned out way smarter than me thank goodness. My oldest earned her BS in Engineering Physics and is now in grad school at MIT. My youngest was valedictorian of her class of 660 and is in her second year at Texas A&M. Won't be at the reunion. It's our 25th wedding anniversary so we are off to Disney World to celebrate.

Kristi (mother of Jesse) is currently in CRNA school in Baton Rouge, LA, David (father of Emily) is working for a Defense Contractor in Iraq, and Ashley is married and living in Italy with her husband and Natalie and Alex.
What have you been doing lately? What's your profession? Kids in college? Brag about yourself: I graduated with my Master of Science from Lamar University (Beaumont) and have my national certification as a sign language interpreter. I have been the Executive Director of the Deaf Action Center for over 23 years. I have been traveling a lot with my partner Greg. I have been to Thailand, Italy, Germany, Czech Republic, South America, Canada, Holland, blah blah blah... Planning on taking my mom to France in May 2009. We have restored a 100 year old home in Shreveport and enjoy being with friends and family. We are both very politically active in the Democratic Party and organizations that promote equal rights for all Americans.
From David: I was married to Gay (yes, that's her real name) in 1980. We had three children. We grew apart and divorced in 1995. I raised the three kids as a single parent. I came out as a gay man in 1995. I have had one long term relationship since the divorce and I am now with, what I hope to be, my last LTR. Greg is from South Louisiana and is a dermotolgist by training. However, he is not practicing right now and is working as the Director of Development for the Deaf Action Center. Gay and I continue to be extremely close and manage to visit once or twice a month. She and her husband live somewhat close to us in a nearby town.

What have you been doing lately? What's your profession? Kids in college? Brag about yourself: We've lived in 9 homes in our 25 years of marriage, the longest being 5 years, the least being 7 months! We've settled here in Louisville, KY for now-been here 3 years. Our oldest son, Mark, is about out of the nest and headed to Greenland to work in city planning. Our second son, Matthew, is working as a flight attendant, but returning to school soon to work toward becoming a pilot. Our youngest, Jonathan, is still at home (imagine that at age 10?) He's still having fun being a kid! UPDATE: Two days after our 30th Reunion, my husband of almost 25 years decided he wanted a new life on his own, so a new adventure awaits me, too, as I move on-so much ahead! Much to trust the Lord for. Looking forward to what is in store for the next 25 years! Ahh!

What have you been doing lately? What's your profession? Kids in college? Brag about yourself: I have been married for almost 24 years to Robert, we have two children, Carly, 12 and Connor 14. Carly is a 7th grader at Beck Jr. High and her passion is dance, she has danced competitively for six years and loves it along with being a cheerleader at school. Connor is in 8th grade and cycles everyday, he and his dad did the MS150 together on a tandem last year and will do it again in April as they can't get enough of it. I just try and keep up with all of them, their activities keep me so busy along with volunteering, NCL and spending time with my friends and family.
From Kim: I think I have only been to one reunion......the 5 year. I always intend to go and something comes up! I would love to be at this one but have a girls getaway trip planned with friends. In fact, one of them is Carla Provenzono Jones who was in the class of 83 and married Mike Jones, the same year as my sister Leslie. I see a few Spring Woods grads out here but really only keep in touch with Didi Damrath Edwards and Pat Hymel Sitler (78). It was fun looking at the past reuinion pictures........I would love to see everyone, maybe next time!

Brag about yourself: I had a successful kidney transplant in 2001 and then came down with Guillain-Barre Syndrome and was hospitalized for 3 1/2 months. Many other medical things have happened but most days are good and I'm thankful for each new one! Prior to all of that, I worked in the O&G industry for 20+ years. I was an accountant doing deep water drilling cost. Now, I keep busy making Monk's cloth blankets and I co-teach the 3 and 4 year old class at my church, St. Timothy's Anglican, Spring.

I have worked for Harris County for 23 years in the Permit Group Wastewater Section. It is fascinating work and never dull. I also volunteer out at Houston Farm and Ranch Club along with my parents and siblings and their kids. I have also been the Rebublican precinct chair in my voting precinct since 1983. I also create wedding cakes and birthday cakes for friends and family. I am looking forward to the reunion. I have been to all of them except the 20th.
